These are my first skeleton diagram in preparation for my own magazine front cover. My favourite design is the top one because it includes a lot of important information, which would be required of my magazine considering I am aiming it towards a new sixth form student. It would include information about GCSE re-takes, the school's new facilities, upcoming events and my USP.

Original photography I decided not to use this photo because I found his facial expression too serious and didn't fit the style that I wanted my magazine to have.  I liked this shot because it focuses specifically on the instrument itself, however because my article was all about the artist, it didn't feel right to not include his face within the double page spread. This was the photo I eventually decided to use for my double page spread, it needed some editing, especially within the background but it shows the artist looking much more relaxed with his instrument which is the look I was hoping for.  I used this image on my contents page because it is not too eye-catching that it takes the main focus away from the text but relates well to the content of the text and the magazine itself.
